Ensuring accessibility in your Canvas course is crucial for providing equal access and the best possible learning experience to all students, including those with disabilities. The recent Accessible British Columbia Act calls for proactive measures to create an accessible learning environment, particularly for students with disabilities.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the key accessibility guidelines and share practical strategies for designing Canvas courses and content that accommodate diverse students. You will learn how to utilize Canvas features to design your courses more accessible.
The session will start with a 60-minute presentation, followed by 30-minute drop-ins for extra support. During the drop-in, we will focus on your specific accessibility questions, and work with you and answer your questions.
