Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)

The UBC Institute for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning supports research and reflection on teaching and earning with the aim of informing and enhancing practice, locally and internationally. ISoTL supports vital research; in this case, into effective teaching and learning strategies and practices in higher education. It also shares the findings of this research in ways that improve practice at UBC and beyond. It is this second function that makes the Institute for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning unique among research institutes.
