Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is the scholarly inquiry into student learning which advances the practice of teaching in higher education by making inquiry findings public (Hutchings & Shulman, 1999). UBC SoTL is supported by the Institute for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISoTL). ISoTL supports those engaging in SoTL across all academic disciplines sharing their work, learning from the approaches of others, and engaging with current SoTL research.
