UBC is adding edX to the “evolving ecosystem of learning technology platforms, tools and applications on campus”. edX can be used to provide a blended learning experience for campus-based courses, as well as UBC online and distance courses. In each of these sessions we will be highlighting a tool or functionality of the edX Edge platform and then provide you with a space for hands-on work and guided support.

In this session, we will explore how to create a course using edX’s web-authoring tool Studio. We will explore such topics as structural hierarchy of an edX course, managing content publishing, and controlling content visibility.

In this session, we will explore how to integrate advanced components into your edX course to diversify your learning activities. We will look at components like wordcloud, polling, staff graded assignments, and more. In addition, you will also be able to chose from a variety of activities to broaden your edX experience.
