This event is part of the 2024 Celebrate Learning Week, taking place from May 6–10, 2024.

This interactive session will demonstrate the technologies and techniques for utilizing AI in classes, including chatbots for question answering and student support, and tools that students may use for completing assignments. Instructors will learn about the capabilities and limitations of these systems, and get hands-on experience to help determine if and how they would be appropriate for their classes. The speaker will also share experiences with using AI in classes, including results on AI proficiency in completing assignments and the development of a UBC-hosted software for course-specific chatbots. This session is designed for instructors at all levels of experience with AI and technology.
