Series: Online Open Education
Event Date & Time
Event Description
The UBC Open Educational Resources (OER) Fund was established to support affordable and inclusive access to learning materials through the adaption, adoption, development, and integration of OER in UBC credit courses. To support prospective applicants who are seeking OER funding support in 2022, CTLT will hold an online General Information Session on the OER Fund on Wednesday, October 13, from 12:00-12:45 pm on Zoom. A standard TLEF-OER Fund ‘drop-in’ proposal consultation session will immediately follow until 2:00 pm.
Through the use of OER, as well as open pedagogies, UBC faculty are engaged in creating meaningful, inclusive, and accessible learning materials as well as educational experiences that emphasize students as collaborators in the production and sharing of knowledge. In the OER Fund General Information Session, you will receive information about the OER Fund criteria and application processes, including tips on writing your proposal, developing your budget, and designing evaluation strategies. Following the information session, educational development, instructional design, and media design support staff will be on-hand to provide one-on-one consultation to applicants who are developing OER Fund grant proposals.
Throughout the fall, CTLT will hold weekly OER Fund Proposal Online Consultation ‘drop-in’ sessions online for individual applicants. Please register for these sessions on the CTLT Events webpage.
