The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) uses systematic and methodological inquiry into teaching and learning (behaviours/practices, attitudes, and values) with the goal of improving teaching and learning by making findings public (Hutchings, & Shulman, 1999; Potter & Kustra, 2011).
During this session, we will:
- Break down the definition of SoTL
- Explain how to start the journey of becoming a SoTL practitioner
- Provide tips to overcome common challenges for initiating a SoTL project
Please note this session is only available for UBC students, instructors, faculty and staff.
Upon registration, please select if you are attending as a regular participant or a participant in the pre-TAR Workshops.
If you are registering for this session only to access the slides but are unable to attend at this time, please view our website for a copy of the slides from prior offerings or reach out to one of the facilitators and we can share them once the session is over.
