In the past year, there has been increasing and widespread momentum at UBC around the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to foster change and engage the community on common global issues. The Government of Canada recently launched a consultation process to inform the creation of Canada’s forthcoming National Strategy on SDG Implementation. Using the National Strategy as a springboard to discuss approaches for implementation of SDGs, this workshop will facilitate discussions on the challenges, needs, and integration of the goals at the course level.

Facilitators:

  • Kshamta Hunter, Manager, Sustainability Student Engagament UBC Sustainability Initiative (USI)
  • Tara Moreau, Associate Director, Sustainability and Community Programs
