This event is part of the 2025 Celebrate Learning Week, taking place from May 5 – 9, 2025.

UBC’s RESPECT Magazine is a student-led publication that showcases varying takeaways on equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization (EDID). The publication demonstrates the impact of equity and anti-racism work at UBC, upholds student and community engagement, and implications for transformative learning. In this panel presentation, UBC students reflect on their contribution to the Magazine and how it enriched their academic experience. The faculty project partners facilitate the conversation to highlight the importance of this ongoing student partnership for teaching and learning.

Facilitators:

  • Anita Chaudhuri, Associate Professor of Teaching, English and Cultural Studies, UBCO
  • Rishma Chooniedass, Assistant Professor of Teaching, School of Nursing, UBCO
  • Panel of UBC Students
