Event Description
The Teaching Development Program (TDP) for New Faculty is a cohort program that supports faculty members across UBC campuses in their professional growth as teachers.
The intended audience is faculty who are either new to teaching, new to UBC, or both, with an emphasis on those who are new to teaching.
To apply to the TDP:
- Click the LOGIN button at the top right corner and log in with your CWL
- Then click the green REGISTER NOW button
- Apply by August 25.
Accepted applicants must be able to attend the following core elements:
- August 29th, 2023– TDP 2023 Kick-Off Session – Multi-Access [core element]
- December 6th, 2023 – TDP Midpoint Checkin Session – Multi-Access [core element]
- April 24th, 2024 – TDP Capstone Session – Multi-Access [core element]

Before you apply, you must listen to an Info Session recording.
For non-UBC participants
In order to register for this program, non-UBC faculty, staff, and students will need to create a UBC Basic CWL. To do this, please go to the CWL page and scroll down to the accordion tab that reads “Basic”. Follow the instructions there for creating and activating a Basic CWL, then please return to this page to register for the program.
