Series: CTLT Institute
Event Date & Time
Event Description
This session explores how instructors can work with Teaching Assistant (TAs) to support inclusive teaching efforts in classrooms, tutorials and labs. TAs often play an important part in setting the tone for a course, supporting students, and providing instruction in smaller group settings (and one-on-one), which means they have opportunities to consider equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in ways that may enhance the efforts of instructors. TAs can also act as a point of connection between students and instructors, including when it comes to topics related to EDI.
In this session, we will discuss how instructors can set up their TAs for success when it comes to EDI topics, and collaborate with them to create more inclusive learning environments.
