    1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Event Description

Learning Technology Rovers (LTR’s) are co-op students who provide support related to learning technologies for instructors within the UBC faculties. Join the LTRs for this open house to discover how we support different learning technologies in faculties across UBC and how you can use these tools in your practice. In this session we will share a short overview, examples and ways of using selected technologies, and provide you with a chance to get hands-on experience using these tools.

We will also be exploring and discussing what and how we work with faculty units to support these projects.

In the open-house we will explore the virtual classroom application Blackboard Collaborate, CLAS (Collaborative Learning Annotation System), the peer evaluation tool iPeer, the screen-capture and video editing tool Camtasia and UBC Blogs.

If you are thinking of ways to enrich student learning in your courses, then this open house will give you helpful insight into the various learning technologies that are available on campus.

Note:

This is an open house session, you can arrive and leave at anytime between 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
