⚒ Hands-on Session Type
Get an early start on creating your Fall courses. Topics in this session will include general navigation of the Canvas interface, notifications and communication, content creation and organization, and assignments (including quizzes, discussions). This workshop is an introduction to Canvas for new users.
This is a registrable event. Please bring your own lunch and computer! Open to Faculty and Staff. Note: Once you register, please log into canvas.ubc.ca. You will then be added to exploratory canvas course shells for the session. Secondly, please self-enrol into Canvas 101 at https://canvas.ubc.ca/enroll/44CAXW

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
LO1: Navigate the dashboard, global navigation, and sidebar
LO2: Adjust the course layout and design
LO3: Identify ways to communicate and interact with students
LO4: Identify ways to create and manage course content
LO5: Describe groups types and activities to help facilitate successful group projects.
LO6: Manage grades in the Gradebook
