The Instructional Design Community of Practice (ID CoP) serves as a hub for instructional designers, learning technology specialists, educational developers, and pedagogical experts from UBCV and UBCO to connect and collaborate. Here, members can delve into various university teaching methodologies such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), active learning, Generative AI, Open Educational Resources (OERs), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), inclusive design, and peer assessments. It’s also a space to exchange ideas on how to integrate technology to enhance diverse learning experiences. Join us for an engaging online IDCop session titled “Revisiting the Definition of Education in the GenAI Era”, where we’ll discuss the profound effects of generative artificial intelligence on educational practices, featuring insights from presenters across various Faculties and units, including the CIC.
