Event Description

As faculty, you play a key role in supporting and enhancing student wellbeing in the learning environment.  Another way you can support student wellbeing is to have a supportive conversation when you notice students in distress, or when they reach out for support.

This session introduces a framework that faculty can apply when having supportive conversations with students who are struggling or in need of support related to their health and wellbeing. The training includes considerations related to using Early Alert and the Green Folder, up-to-date information about student health and wellbeing resources, and considerations for self-care and setting boundaries so you can best support student wellbeing in the academic context.
