Event Description

Canvas course analytics and quiz statistics can be useful tools for understanding how students are engaging with course materials and designs and identifying areas of challenge and success for students.

At this hands-on workshop, instructors will learn how to access and interpret information from Canvas’s built-in learning analytics tools and explore ways of putting that information to use to encourage student engagement, support struggling students, and refine teaching practices. Participants will also receive an introduction to Canvas’s Quiz Statistics tool and will learn how to use this tool to evaluate quizzes and quiz questions for effectiveness.

This workshop will also introduce other new and emerging analytics tools and will include opportunities to provide feedback on features that could make learning analytics tools at UBC more useful for students and faculty.

Please bring a laptop to this workshop.
