Event Description
Multi-access (UBCV)
This hands-on workshop introduces faculty to PrairieLearn, a learning tool for creating personalized, auto-graded assessments. While often used in programming and STEM courses, PrairieLearn can support a wide range of learning activities beyond coding. Participants will explore how to design and integrate custom questions and interactive content in their own courses—from quantitative reasoning to conceptual learning. No programming experience is required, and examples will be provided for various disciplines including the humanities, social sciences, and professional education.
Facilitators:
- Fatemeh Salehian Kia, Faculty member, UBC iSchool, UBCV
- Kyla McCallum, Graduate student, UBC iSchool, UBCV
Note to Non-UBC Participants:
In order to register for this program, non-UBC faculty, staff, and students will need to create a UBC Basic CWL. To do this, please go to the CWL page and scroll down to the accordion tab that reads “Basic”. Follow the instructions there for creating and activating a Basic CWL, then please return to this page to register for the program.
