Evaluating TLEF, OER and SaP Projects

Event Date & Time

  • August 8, 2024
    10:00 am - 11:30 am

Event Description

Online

Evaluation activities are important to think about throughout the life of your TLEF, OER or SaP project, as evaluation allows you to monitor and refine the development of the project. Evaluation also allows you to report out on the project impact, which will help you to secure continuing funding and engage others in a better understanding your project’s impact on teaching and learning.

The CTLT Research & Evaluation team is offering a workshop to help you develop and refine your evaluation framework, including identifying commonly used data collection methods, as well as discuss common challenges of evaluation.

We will cover such questions as:

  • What are appropriate goals for evaluation, and what approaches can achieve these?
  • What claims can be made regarding the success of the project, and what evidence can back up these claims?

If you have other people on your team who are supporting the evaluation work in your project, including Graduate Research Assistants, please extend this invite to them. Please note this session is designed for folks who have an active teaching and learning project.

Facilitators:

  • Trish Varao-Sousa, Evaluation & Research Consultant, trish.varao-sousa@ ubc.ca
  • Natasha Pestonji-Dixon, Evaluation & Research Consultant, natasha.pestonji-dixon@ubc.ca

This event will be hosted on Zoom.
