Edu-Hacking Community of Practice

Event Date & Time

  • September 20, 2018
    3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Event Description

This will be the first meeting for the term of the Edu-Hacking Community of Practice, a group of graduate students and postdocs who are interested in teaching and learning, and how insights from how we learn and how to teach can be applied in the classroom and outside as well. The group meets on two themes in alternating months: “hacking” pedagogy (understanding how and why it works, and what can be done with it), and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and Teaching as Research (TAR). Ours is a vibrant community, welcoming to ongoing community members, as well as those who just want to drop in for one meeting.

Our first meeting of the term is set aside for members of the community to (re)connect and welcome new members, share ideas from over the summer, and decide what we want to do as a community for the coming year. Whether you have yet to miss a meeting, or you are just curious to see what the community is about, come out, say hello, and let’s hack teaching and learning together!
