Event Date & Time
Event Description
Many instructors are involved in evaluating their classroom practices, but there is often confusion about whether obtaining ethical approval by the Behavioural Research Ethics Board (BREB) is required. In this workshop, instructors will learn more about what type of classroom inquiry might require BREB, and what work can be done without ethics review. Participants will also be taken through the process of obtaining BREB approval, and key information they may need to include in their application. This workshop will also detail the ethical considerations for conducting research and evaluation in the classroom. This workshop will be particularly useful for current SoTL Seed and TLEF grant holders.
