Series: CTLT Institute
Event Date & Time
Event Description
In this interactive session, we will explore why and how we assess learning and discuss various approaches and frameworks of assessment. We will dig deeper into aspects of assessment and consider how principles of Universal Design for Learning create a more inclusive space for students to express their knowledge. Our discussions will challenge us to rethink assessment to improve teaching and learning environments.
For the session, we encourage you to bring your course syllabi and/or a sample assignment to reflect upon. As a group, we will share current approaches and challenges to gain insight into how we can modify our current methods to provide more universal, authentic opportunities for engagement and reflection. We hope our discussions will build an ongoing community of practice that supports students as participants in their learning processes.
