Event Description
Writing Across the Curriculum+ (WAC+) is back with its second installment of the Best Practices in Teaching Science Communication roundtable symposium. Educators engage participants in short presentations around effective and innovating teaching methods being used at UBC. Participants cycle between tables and sample a range of teaching practices. Take away new ideas for your courses, expand your UBC network in teaching and learning, and gain new perspectives from your colleagues. This symposium will include teaching and learning using podcasting, peer-review, wikis, infographics, and more.
WAC+ is a TLEF-funded collaboration between the Science Centre for Learning and Teaching, the Centre for Writing and Scholarly Communication and the Department of Chemistry and is designed to support the teaching and learning of written, oral and other non-traditional forms of communication in the sciences.
