Event Description

**This event has been cancelled**

Thinking about integrating open textbooks or other open education material into your course but would like additional support to review, integrate, develop, or adapt the material? Perhaps a Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) grant could help.  These grants are financed by a portion of tuition fees paid by undergraduate and graduate students and a 2017 priority focus is the “development or integration of open educational resources that are intended to be used in a course, multiple courses within a program, or across several programs.”

This session will explore how open textbooks and open education resources are already being used for teaching and learning at UBC, how TLEF grants could be used to help integrate open resources into your course, and the process for applying for a TLEF.

The TLEF application deadline is November 18th and many Faculties have earlier deadlines. Please see http://tlef.ubc.ca for more information.
