This informal conversation provides space to connect with your peers and to discuss your insights, bring questions and share your evolving understandings around inclusive teaching. Your CTLT facilitators will support your exploration of your insights, and share other resources to support you in your teaching journey.
Prep-work for participants new to inclusive teaching
If you are new to inclusive teaching, please complete the short Asynchronous Course: “Inclusive Teaching, What is it and Why does it matter?” prior to attending the Exchange. This self-paced course takes approximately 60–90 minutes to complete, either in one sitting or in shorter segments, and helps establish a shared foundation for conversation, supporting more meaningful dialogue during the Inclusive Teaching Exchange session.
Use this self-enroll link to access the course: https://canvas.ubc.ca/enroll/PRG93L
This asynchronous course is for anyone who teaches at UBC and is looking for an introduction to inclusive teaching practices. It introduces key literature underpinning inclusive teaching, explores the diversity of UBC’s student population, and invites reflection on inclusive teaching practices.
Participants who already have foundational knowledge or experience with inclusive teaching are not required to complete this course.
