Student engagement is a critical factor known to significantly enhance student learning outcomes. Learning technologies can play an important role in fostering engagement. In this 60-minute workshop, we will explore a free open-source tool called H5P, and how AI can assist in building H5P content.
The H5P Open Hub provides a dedicated platform for UBC Community members to generate, store, and share H5P interactive content. H5P content can be seamlessly integrated into various learning environments, supporting flexible course design across modalities. In this interactive session, we will review a selection of H5P interactive elements aimed at enhancing student engagement with course materials.
We will explore how these interactive elements can help implement formative assessment questions and provide timely feedback in your course. The workshop focuses on practical applications of tools already available within our institution, helping professors enhance their teaching approaches with minimal technological barriers.
