As AI tools like ChatGPT and others become increasingly accessible to students, contract faculty are encountering new challenges—and opportunities—in the classroom. This session invites members of our Contract Faculty Community of Practice (ie, sessionals and lecturers) to come together in a supportive, open space to share experiences, concerns, and questions about how students are using AI in their coursework.
Whether you’re navigating issues of academic integrity, experimenting with AI-enhanced assignments, or simply curious about how others are responding, your insights are welcome. We’ll also share a selection of resources and strategies tailored to different disciplines, recognizing that each teaching context brings its own unique considerations. Let’s learn from one another and begin building a collective approach to equitable, thoughtful AI integration that supports both our students and our own professional realities.
