Event Date & Time
Event Description
Please note, this session is for facilitators who will be facilitating workshops during the CTLT Winter Institute, however others are welcome.
Do we walk our talk? Creating inclusive workshop for a diverse learning and teaching community.
While the goal of the Winter Institute is to create sustainable, inclusive, and thriving learning communities and many of us are bringing a wide range of amazing strategies to help each other optimize our learning environments, have we examined our own facilitation practices to ensure that we walk what we talk?
By the end of this facilitation development workshop, participants (and facilitators at various context) will begin to:
- Explore the diverse needs of our participants: faculty, staff, and maybe students
- Develop steps to find out needs of our participants
- Modify our workshop designs to create a more inclusive environment
Bring an old or current workshop plan you have and be prepared to scribble over it with new ideas!
