The formative peer review of teaching is a process designed to provide feedback to instructors about their teaching. It is an opportunity for all involved to engage in collegial conversations about teaching and student learning.
Please join us for this experiential workshop suitable for reviewers (mentors) and reviewees (mentees) in the peer review of teaching. The peer review of teaching process introduced in this workshop is intended primarily as a form of formative (and developmental) feedback.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Describe the peer review of teaching process
- Provide constructive feedback for the person being reviewed
- Conduct appropriate pre- and post-observation meetings
- Respond to various peer review situations
Please note:
- there will be approximately 30-40 minutes of pre-work to do on your own prior to the workshop (details will be sent two weeks in advance).
- a minimum of 10 participants is needed to run this session; please register before September 01, 2020, so we can confirm the session date/time.
