If you’re preparing a teaching dossier, a strong “evidence of teaching effectiveness” section can highlight your impact and strengthen your case. This hands-on session gives you dedicated time to begin shaping that section. You’ll revisit examples, organize your own materials, and test out different ways of presenting your teaching effectiveness. Through peer discussion and feedback, you’ll gather fresh perspectives and ideas to carry forward.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Identify possible sources of evidence to include in your teaching dossier.
- Experiment with organizing and framing your own evidence.
- Receive and offer constructive peer feedback on emerging ideas.
- Outline next steps for drafting your dossier section with confidence.
Session pre-requisites:
Participants are encouraged to have attended Presenting Evidence of Teaching Effectiveness in a Dossier, though this is not required. If possible, bring along notes, examples, or data you may want to include in your dossier (e.g., student feedback, peer reviews, reflections).
If you’re unable to make it to this session and are looking for support with your teaching dossier, see the Teaching Portfolio section of our website (https://ctlt.ubc.ca/resources/teaching/portfolios/ ) or contact Isabeau Iqbal for a consultation (isabeau.iqbal@ubc.ca).
