Strategies for Student Success with Writing

This two-hour workshop focuses on teaching and mentoring strategies for helping students develop a better writing process. Participants will consider how to structure writing assignments to help students better engage with scientific concepts, more thoughtfully plan their writing and arguments and take greater responsibility for the development of their writing skills. Teaching Succinct and Accurate Science Writing

This two-hour workshop focuses on how to teach students to write clearly for audiences within, and outside, their discipline, focusing on issues at the sentence level.
