2011 CTLT Summer Institute

Building on the Orientation to Teaching (Tuesday, August 22nd), the five-day 2011 CTLT Summer Institute is made up of a series of workshops focusing on issues that have been identified as particularly meaningful to both new and experienced faculty members, to help them prepare for their classes.

The workshop topics range from refining a syllabus, to lesson planning, to incorporating active learning and group work in your teaching.  Student evaluation and learning to work with TA's will also be covered.

Two interactive sessions are offered daily, with one in the morning and one in the afternoon; in between sessions, participants can continue their conversations with colleagues over a light lunch. These two- to three-hour workshops are designed to provide you with an in-depth understanding of the topics, as well as practical ideas to implement in your teaching.

Please register for each individual session you are interested in participating in. Also, please register for the lunch sessions.
