This workshop focuses on problem-oriented learning (POL) as a more flexible approach to problem-based learning (PBL). For those interested in and currently practising PBL and small group learning (SGL) at UBC. More broadly, we explore learning through the use of cases, scenarios, small group work and related formats. The Network, which began in 2001, and is currently made up of 90 people at UBC representing a large variety of disciplines, promotes collaboration among individuals and groups across UBC. Meetings take place 2-3 times/year. We also design seminars and organize resources based on your needs and interests.
