November Mentoring Lunch: "Starting Fresh, Starting Right"

Mentoring Lunches

After 8 years away from the classroom, first as Associate Dean of Arts and then as Associate Vice-President, Academic Programs, Neil Guppy returns to teaching in January. This puts him in the rather unique position of being an experienced faculty member who is facing some of the very questions faced by those just starting out. What are students like these days? What are their expectations regarding their professors in terms of teaching and grading? Neil will talk about his approach to these and other questions, from the perspective of a very experienced and highly regarded academic and administrator.
