Reaching Resistant Learners & Fostering Student Motivation

Graduate Student Reading Break Seminar Series

The silent class. The argumentative student. The unfocused group. Why does it occur? How can we prevent or manage it? Come join us to unravel the mystery behind the resistant learner. In this session you will have the chance to explore root causes of resistance and learn to develop teaching strategies that foster student motivation. We will also discuss the components of a motivational framework and its essentiality in maximizing learning. You will leave with the tools to help you create a more cooperative learning experience for both you and your students.
