Higher Education is under great pressure to change if it's to meet the needs of present day learners and the changing demands of society for educated, information fluent workers. We now struggle under this pressure, knowing that students today are different, not the students we were, not the students faculty learned to teach. This conversation explores the learning styles of students currently in higher education: digital natives, digital immigrants, returning learners, lifelong learners and skill seekers. How do we design our courses (F2F, hybrid or online) to better engage learners and produce enduring learning? Colleen will explore a number of instructional and active learning technologies that allow these new learners a seat at the table.
