Are you new to teaching at UBC? Curious about who UBC's students are, and what the FSC is? Looking for on-campus resources to support your teaching?

Join us for a day-long, informative, and inspiring orientation to teaching at UBC! You will learn about student demographics, explore potentially challenging classroom situations, identify possible learning principles, and gain an introduction to a variety of different teaching tools and technologies supported at UBC. A group of UBC students and representatives from Student Development and Services will also be present to share their wisdom and to help you prepare for your teaching experience at UBC.

The Orientation to Teaching event launches the week-long 2012 CTLT Summer Institute, where you can explore topics introduced at the Orientation in-depth at various workshops and information sessions. For Summer Institute events click here.

Light breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided at the Teaching Orientation.
