How to turn an idea into the creation of an inclusive, engaging, and inspiring on-line learning environment? The session will help you avoid cognitive clutter in your course and shape it into to a meaningful experience, that will be especially important for online students who can easily get lost in the vast virtual space.

Natasha Boskic, Manager of Educational Technologies, Education


Natasha Boskic designs innovative learning spaces and offers consultations on best teaching and learning practices. Her interest is in online collaborative and communication strategies, student engagement and culturally responsive instruction. Natasha manages various projects in the area of eLearning, locally and intentionally, such as ePortfolio implementation, accessibility issues, Aboriginal education, Faculty development and training, Mobile technologies, and others. She obtained her Masters in Distance Education from Athabasca University (Canada) and a Ph.D. degree in Language and Literacy Education at UBC (Canada), focusing on ethics in gameworlds.



Sharon Hu, Instructional Designer, Education


Sharon Hu is an Instructional Designer at the Faculty of Education. Her areas of interests include the development of synchronous learning environments in a hybrid format, and the use of mobile technology in education.



Ian Linkletter, User Support Specialist, Education


Ian Linkletter designs and supports courses which utilize learning technologies. His interest is in how technology can enhance and enrich learning experiences. Ian has experience implementing mobile technologies, web conferencing applications, e-portfolios, information portals, analytics, and resource booking systems. He obtained his Masters in Library and Information Science from The University of Western Ontario.
