The goal of this Blackboard Collaborate Implementation Planning Meeting is to help us maximize the impact of our Blackboard Collaborate deployment by engaging in meaningful cross-institution planning activities.  The outcomes of this meeting will be clearly defined project goals and identification of success criteria, which will be used to construct a detailed implementation plan that aligns with the goals of our institution and our professional goals. 

Your role will be to contribute to the initial discussions and think creatively about possible Blackboard Collaborate-related uses cases across UBC, including your own faculty, department, research area, programs, or classes. 

This full workshop runs over 2 days, but is not required that you attend them in entirety. 

 

Day 1:

  1. Use Cases (9:30-12:00)
    • The goal of this session is to develop a number of detailed Use Cases around the specific ways that Blackboard Collaborate will be used.
  2. Institutional/Program Objectives (12:45-2:00)
    • The goal of this session is to generate a list of significant institutional or program drivers that Blackboard Collaborate can help to address and any specific objectives for the use of Blackboard Collaborate
  3. Tying Use Cases to Institutional/Program Objectives  (2:15-4:15)
    • The goal of this session is develop alignment between the drivers and objectives of the individual use cases developed and those of the institution or program.
