Are you thinking of blending your course? Join us in Teaching in a Blended Learning Environment (T-BLE).

Course Overview:  A short, immersive blended course aimed at instructors who are already teaching in the classroom and are considering moving to a blended environment. This short course runs for six weeks and is delivered in a blended format – a combination of online and face-to-face sessions.  For additional information, please click here

Instructors:

Joseph Anthony: Joseph has been a sessional instructor at UBC in the Department of Physical Therapy for almost 20 years. He has a degree in Physical Therapy and a PhD in Experimental Medicine. His current position at UBC is Health Professions Education Coordinator in the Faculty of Medicine where he works with the Health Professions group in the effective use of technology in education. One of Joseph’s particular interests is in developing and implementing engaging, interactive, compter-based learning experiences focused around virtual patients.

Lucas Wright: Lucas is an educational consultant and instructor with more than ten years of experience teaching instructional skills in higher education. He has a range of teaching experience from working in the public education system to teacher training to running workshops and courses for university faculty. He holds a MEd in Adult and Higher Education from the University of British Columbia. Lucas brings this experience, education and passion for adult education to the classroom and will help you to develop into an effective instructor across a variety of education contexts.
