Event Description

***Please note this event has been cancelled***

Scholarly communication has traditionally focused on the published article or book as the key output of academic engagement; however, with the growth of open education, the practice of sharing content that is developed in the context of teaching a course, is being leveraged out into the world using social media and networked technologies. This act of sharing is increasing the ways in which academics can engage in dialogue around work which otherwise remains invisible to the wider education community.
Are you interested in learning how to leverage your education materials in an open environment? Would you like to learn more about licensing your content for use by education colleagues? Are you interested in expanding your scholarly profile using social networked technologies?
Join us for a hands-on exploration of licensing and sharing your educational resources. In this workshop we will engage in some Colearning challenges to help us explore the possibilities and approaches to developing a scholarly profile, focusing on sharing of education resources.
