Event Description

As of 2015/16, there were over 13 000 international students from 155 countries at UBC. Our student body brings a rich, cultural diversity that can enrich, as well as pose challenges in the classroom.

 In this workshop, participants will discuss:

• the types of challenges international students may face in the classroom;
• suggestions and strategies faculty can use to support international students in their academic success.
