Facilitation Basics 1 (For TAs and Grad students)

Event Description

This workshop is part 1 of the Facilitation Basics workshops which are meant for senior TAs who will be delivering facilitated sessions focused on teaching enhancement for TAs. The workshop is also open to all graduate students. During this workshop, you will focus on developing key skills for designing workshops and classroom activities: determining workshop/activity objectives, designing activities, time management, etc. The workshop is an interactive, peer-based model which will give you opportunities to learn about, practice, discuss, and reflect on workshop development skills, and will run from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM.

Part 2 of this workshop focuses on “facilitating workshops” and will take place on the same day from 1:30-5:00 PM. You can register for Facilitation Basics Part 2 here.

We encourage all participants to register for both of these workshops.
