EKM Brown Bag: Curriculum Reimagination and Transformation

Event Description

In this session,  Dr Karen Theobald, Director of Academic Programs at Queensland University of Technology School of Nursing, will share their undergraduate nursing curriculum redesign. Examples of flexible learning strategies, including their use of the technology Nearpod, will be shared as well. Dr Karen Theobald is responsible for providing leadership for the School’s learning and teaching activities and collaborating with the Faculty of Health’s learning and teaching leadership team in the development and implementation of the Faculty’s learning and teaching plan. Karen has assumed the position of Postgraduate Course Coordinator and continues to demonstrate leadership and expertise in teaching and learning across the Postgraduate emergency nursing study area, as the Postgraduate Study Area Coordinator for Emergency Nursing. Her clinical background is in acute cardiac care and presently she is the Deputy Chair of the Australian Resuscitation Council, Queensland Branch. Karen has extensive experience in teaching and coordinating units across the QUT’s undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs in the School of Nursing.
